Creole and Sicilian cooking in East Louisville

Selena's at Willow Lake Tavern brings New Orleans Creole and Sicilian cooking together on La Grange Road in East Louisville, a short drive from Anchorage, Middletown and Lyndon. Since 2008 we've cooked in the original Willow Lake Tavern building, and the tavern's neon sign still lights up the lot every evening.

Our kitchen leans on the dishes our regulars come back for: seafood gumbo, jambalaya, stuffed Gulf shrimp, our famous crab rolls, shrimp and grits, and Creole bread pudding with bourbon sauce. On the Sicilian side, there's chicken piccata, our own meatballs with linguine and red sauce, and pastas served with a house salad. Fresh seafood comes in daily, so ask your server about the fresh fish of the day and the nightly specials.

Happy hour, bourbon and weekend brunch

Happy hour runs every day from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, with specials on house wines, bottled beer and well drinks. Bottles of wine are half price on Tuesdays. Behind the bar is a Kentucky bourbon list with reserve pours such as King of Kentucky, the Weller collection and Pappy Van Winkle.

On Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM we serve a New Orleans-style weekend brunch: beignets, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, omelets and a full bar. Weekday lunch runs 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Weeknights at Selena's

Winter is a good time for a quiet weeknight dinner in our dining room. Kids eat free on Mondays with the purchase of any adult meal. Appetizers are half price on Thursdays with the purchase of any meal. And every Friday there's our famous clam chowder.

We host parties of any size, with a private room for about 36 guests, a private section of the patio in warm weather, and menus built around your event. We also cater at your location.
